So yeah...
I’m still in Australia and still unemployed. Not much has changed there! I’m currently earning a living by participating in paid Market Research - so contributing in focus groups about contact lenses, cigarettes and gambling. On a professional level it’s really interesting because I can learn how Market Researchers conduct focus groups on daily basis and pick up some much-needed...

This is a disaster
Whyyy did I come to Australia?!?! I’ve been here for 3 months (exactly on Sunday) and have nothing to show for it apart from an empty bank account, a nice tan and a tummy full of sushi.
Today I’ve been told that my start date for work has been pushed back for another 3 weeks, and I don’t have enough money to live on until then. I’m now frantically job hunting in the hope...

I've been rubbish
…at keeping this blog up to date. I’ve officially been in Australia for 2 months and 19 days, yet it feels like I’ve been here forever; the time goes really slowly and the days seem to merge into one. To be honest, I haven’t really done that much although now I’m getting my daily dose of vitamin D from all the sunshine, my hair now requires cutting every month. Every...

I arrived in Australia! I can’t say it’s gone particularly fast - although the money I bought with me certainly has.Sorry U’ve been so rubbishat keeping this blog up-to-date; considering I sit around most days either sunbathing, reading Harry Potter or watching crap AustralianTV, I haven’t got much of an excuse!
Anyway, I’m now living in Oatley, NSW which is 30...

4 days in.
So I’ve been in Australia for 4 days now. It’s going pretty well - the weather hasn’t been that great - lots of rain (but at least it’s been warm). Aside from sorting out bank accounts and tax file numbers, I haven’t done a lot. I went shopping in Newcastle on Wednesday (and got sunburnt) and on Friday I went shopping (again) to Charlestown. I realised that all the...

I'm in!
Landed in Australia at 11am today (Australia time). The flight was alright - although I did have to face my worst nightmare of sleeping in public. Spent 5 hours at Singapore airport and drank Grape Juice containing Collagen and Green Pea crisps. Yummmmmmy. For the next 2 weeks I’ll be staying in Cessnock, NSW with my Aunty and Uncle and their lovely family.

Return ASOS clothes for a refund (I buy too much shit online)
Change £ into AUS$
Pack
Transfer stuff from my laptop to my swanky new netbook
Update my iPod (and remove The Vengaboys, Steps and Aqua from my playlists
Tell banks I’m leaving
Buy a hand luggage bag
Buy makeup and outfit for...

4 weeks to go!
I leave these cloudy, yet homely shores on the 30th October for sun, sea, sand and blueberry picking.
All I have booked is a week at my Aunty and Uncle’s house in Cessnock, NSW and that is pretty much it!
Once over the jet lag, I’ll be hitting up Sydney - probably stay in a Hostel for a week or so, meet a few fell backpackers and then see what happens.
I think for the first couple...

Want students to notice your brand?
…Get yourself a team of student ambassadors!
There are currently over 2 million students studying at University in the UK, the majority of whom arrive on campus every year, armed with a hefty student loan, hard-earned savings, and donations from parents to help cover the costs of textbooks, rent and other important items like alcohol and clothes. Fifa are investigating North Korean abuse claims →
Radio Free Asia are claiming that the North Korean football team were subjected to 6 hours of abuse from Government officials and then sentenced to ‘hard labour’ for the teams ‘poor’ showing at the World Cup.
I find it disgusting that English players like Ashley Cole moan about the way they’re treated here (yes, it must be really hard earning £180,000 a week) when...

If Prince William thinks he had it bad, try living in MY house.
My IDIOT of a next door neighbour has given his two small children a vuvuzela each.
Someone on my street is going to crack soon & murder those those two kids.

World Cup 2010
I’ve decided for the next month to dedicate my blog to the lovely lads currently starring in the World Cup in South Africa.
As you can see in my previous post, the delicious Joann Gourcuff is first to appear. The 24 year old attacking midfielder plays for French side Bordeaux and has been a part of the french national team since 2008. At the moment France are playing against Uruguay and to...

Social media gains ground in Australia
An article published today in WARC suggests that the vast majority of brands in Australia intend to make greater use of social media over the next year, with marketers diverting resources away from traditional media to fund this process.
The study was produced by Community Engine (a social network plugin) which reported that 70% of the 347 advertisers interviewed intend to use Facebook and...

I recently came across a great piece in the Guardian by Jamie Jackson focusing on the reasons why the Bundesliga is superior to the English Premier League. The sub-headline of the piece is “With cheap ticket prices and sound financial management, the Bundesliga is the antithesis of the Premier League.” For me, this begs the question of whether or not the...

David Cameron
God, that man is annoying. Probably almost as annoying as my Kopperberg coated laptop keys (the a, s and d keys are proving particularly difficult to press). Not only does his smarmy side-parting anger me greatly but Mr Cameron just screams “The Daily Mail” everytime I look at him on television. ‘Big D’ clearly sees himself as being the sort of PM that everyone can aspire ...

Dear Coke Talk: On not being a whiny bitch. →
Hey I’ve never really done this before, but I need some advice.
There’s this girl, cliche I know, but I fell for her fast. And for some time, I was under the impression that the feeling was mutual. We went on like this for about a month just flirting no problems.
But then she asked me if…
